Architecture & Interior Design
Born in Turin, a nomadic person in his thinking and by profession, an architecture graduate from Politecnico di Torino (his architectural design thesis is university-certified for publication), Giacomo Abba is a project-maker, site manager, and work director and supervisor. Different experiences and activities have settled into specific competences in building techniques and technologies, problem solving and working to deadlines. His professional skills now include architecture and design, graphics and packaging, all of which in view of enviro-friendly innovation. Engaged in designing “Food Corners”, Restaurant Spaces and Shopping Malls, he has experimented architecture based on transparencies, dematerialisation, light and shadow in the conviction that architecture is a middle-knowledge, an interpretative filter between tradition and innovation, a never-ending occasion to go deeper and reflect on sign, shape and their relationship with situational specificities.
